Nestled in a quiet neighborhood in Newport Beach, the Circle Dr. Residence sits on a unique lot. The location presented many unique challenges being on a corner property with an alley on the other side and no availability for a backyard. The design of the home is a transitional design and incorporates traditional materials of stone and wood siding in a modern take with large steel window systems and an open floor plan.
The client’s main concerns were for privacy from the main sidewalk and accessibility so they could grow with the home. The home was placed at the back of the lot to maximize the front courtyard and provide an easily accessed outdoor space for the owners to enjoy. The connection between indoor and outdoor spaces was a major driving factor in the layout of the home.
In efforts to make the house as accessible as possible, the primary suite is located on the first floor, and the bathrooms were generously sized to accommodate for future accessibility needs. Designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind, the home is sure to be a comfortable and enjoyable place to live for years to come.
