Silverado Guesthouse

In 2017, the 4Winds Winery’s guest house was destroyed by fire and the caretaker house was significantly damaged. The client tasked the design team to rebuild the guest house to match the existing footprint and renovate the caretaker house with an emphasis on matching the historical, family estate. Most of the property is steep and rather rugged; many materials had to be brought in on off-road vehicles and craned in. The resulting buildings are perfectly matched to the existing estate. Even an historic Napa Valley bell was restored and reinstalled in a bell tower to match the existing home.
