Multifamily Spotlight: Camden Buckhead

Designed as an urban edge and gateway into the West Village, Camden Buckhead is the follow-up project to the flourishing Camden Paces in Atlanta’s premiere Buckhead neighborhood. The community’s 366 units offer gracious floor plans, concierge-level services, exceptional amenities and luxury finishes with the potential for urban street, wooded and skyline views.

Camden Buckhead’s two buildings front Roswell Road and form the northern edge of the village. The structures include eight- to nine-story post-tensioned concrete frames and an entry road between the buildings that leads to structured parking below street level. The architectural style is striking and elegant, but at the same time offers a convivial, relaxing atmosphere in an urban environment.

Camden Buckhead’s design approach is modern and streamlined, using white brick to break up the massing and make the buildings pop—the same red brick from phase one to tie the two developments together, and recessed brick courses in select accent areas. A tower element at the main corners of both buildings emphasizes the upper two levels’ exclusive townhome units.

Along with a prime location, the wildly successful Camden Buckhead offers state-of-the-art amenities including resort-style swimming pools, fitness centers, lounge areas, co-working, pet spa, grilling stations and outdoor terraces.

Judges’ Comments | The different materials on the exterior and relief help break up the buildings. The balconies provide nice texture to the exterior and good scale; the recessed balconies between white spaces are a good balance. The lobby area is warm and inviting, and the separate common spaces are a nice touch.
