Home of the Week: Solomon Circle

Taking full advantage of the sweeping views and seclusion inherent to the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Solomon Circle project exemplifies modern mountain living. The design consists of two intersecting architectural forms, one clad in vertical stained wood, the other in lap siding with meticulous reglet detailing.

The simple shapes and exterior material palette reinforce a minimalist home design.  The layout is designed for single-level living with an open concept. The home’s main body stretches along the steep forested hillside, limiting site disturbance and maximizing views from every space. The kitchen and dining areas seamlessly flow into screened and open decks blurring indoor and outdoor living. Guest rooms and utility spaces are located at the front of the home allowing all of the living and entertaining spaces to take advantage of the spectacular views.
