This older home desperately needed a style refresh. To lighten and brighten the kitchen, the design team removed the existing bulkhead and upper cabinets. The new galley layout opened up the flow to the nearby rooms and gained counter stool seating. Cabinetry was all outfitted with specific organizers to maximize storage for daily use items. The nearby pantry and buffet cabinet provide excess storage for less frequently used and bulky items. Quartz countertops, new LVP flooring, and basic black-and white-painted cabinet finishes provided the price point and durability needed to complete this remodel.

A spice ledge with a decorative brass galley rail was placed against the quartz backsplash.Smaller details, like the hardware, lighting, and brass mesh panels, added glamour to this modern farmhouse kitchen. Whitewashed repurposed wood was applied to the entire dropped ceiling over the kitchen and dining room area to add some architectural interest.
