This historic Ybor City home, built in 1916, was moved from its original location as a part of a Department of Transportation expansion project in 2017. Its final resting place was directly across the street from the Design Styles Architecture headquarters. The design team could not pass up the opportunity to restore it to its former glory. This home serves not only as the firm’s design center and a showcase of its abilities as designers, but also as a snapshot in time to the beauty and care of the historic homes of early 20th-century Ybor City.
From the Judges
The house was very nicely restored to its original glory. The judges praised the retention of original details, such as the fireplace and windows.
