West Sacramento, California

Architect/Designer | Mogavero Architects

West Gateway Place is a 77-unit, sustainable, affordable, mixed-use community that forms a gateway between the City of West Sacramento and downtown Sacramento. The corner at Tower Bridge Gateway and Grand Street is designed with a strong tower element and an elevated café-retail terrace that serves as the critical west entry to the new master-planned Bridge District. The mixed-use building offers 4,000 square feet of retail space, with dedicated parking tucked under the building, along with 12,000 square feet of common areas. The alternating colors of the north elevation, with deep shadows and white fins, are intended to offer changing elevations as visitors drive by. The Community space includes reception, offices, a common kitchen, lounge, computer facilities, a classroom, and a courtyard with seating and a play area.
