The transformation from a dated and choppy 1999 home to a fresh, open, modern concept home with a Scandinavian influence is nothing short of amazing. Some original elements were preserved: the windows, living room ceiling rafters, internal transom window, and dining room wainscoting. Everything else is brand new.
Although the overall shape and size of the primary bedroom was retained, the transformation is night and day. The primary bedroom received a fresh wall covering pattern, new furniture and new light fixtures throughout. The primary bathroom stayed in the same location; only plumbing fixtures were moved to create a more functional space.
Now, the bathroom features his-and-hers vanities and walk-in closets tucked off to the side. A soaking tub placed in front of the window with a new decorative chandelier makes for a picture-perfect scene when entering the spa-like bathroom.
A primary suite vestibule was constructed to share access to a nursey. What was once an old, underutilized office makes way for a comforting nursey close to the parents.
This primary suite is dramatic yet calming and is sure to encourage a more restful night’s sleep.
