Home owners new to this house requested a facelift to allow for cooking and entertaining in a more inviting space. The two-tone cabinets and multilevel island with breakfast bar were at the top of their “must go” list.
The team was able to not only brighten the home owners’ space by adding updated, lighter cabinetry, but by removing wing walls to create more visually open space. Utilizing an existing refrigerator, the team created a built-in look and provided deeper-than-standard countertops that provides the home owners an extra 6 inches of counterspace for small appliances.
Wrapping around the corner are beautiful glass-front cabinets and a beverage chiller. The spacious island houses the main sink and appliances, while still affording space for four to sit comfortably. The island and perimeter cabinets hold gorgeous quartz countertops that add brightness to the whole kitchen. The marble herringbone backsplash draws your eye with its captivating pattern and colors.
Use of the space was carefully thought out for cooking, baking and entertaining—with a designated place for the items needed by multiple cooks in this multigenerational family’s special kitchen.
