Sited to gently interface with the bustling Beach Boulevard corridor, the five-story building provides a variety of massing proportions, mitigating the building’s height and breaking up the façade. The building transitions seamlessly into a duo of corresponding courtyards providing access to the parking and retail plaza activating the street frontage.
The challenge was to create the city’s first high-density luxury apartment community that maximizes the potential of the highly visible site, attracts a new resident demographic to the city, and achieves a timeless, contemporary design that integrates into the urban fabric of Stanton. The design looks to create a unique vibe attracting young professionals and those who embody “verve,” defined as “vigor and spirit or enthusiasm”. The resort-style amenities are anchored by a resident lounge featuring double-volume ceiling height and large windows opening out to the pool deck. From here, an expansive vista is experienced across a diagonal-view corridor terminating at a two-story, open-air clubroom. On the first floor of the southern corner sits an eclectic retail experience activated above by a dramatically lit rooftop deck.
