BALA Celebrates Inductees Looney, Rutenberg & The Sherwin Williams Company

J. Carson Looney, FAIA, Class of 2008

As a principal at Looney Ricks Kiss Architects, Inc., J. Carson Looney has been providing both residential and commercial architectural design expertise for many years.

During its history, Looney and his firm have received well over 200 awards of recognition for design work at the local, state, regional and national levels. These awards include 59 Best in American Living Awards (BALA) presented by NAHB and Professional Builder magazine.

Community planning, urban design/revitalization and traditional neighborhood development planning with mixed-use commercial facilities are all areas of expertise for Looney.

Arthur Rutenberg, Class of 2016*

Arthur Rutenberg built homes in Florida for more than 60 years. He is credited with introducing the split-bedroom floor plan, positioning the kitchen in the heart of the home, focusing on great views of the lanai and pool throughout the home, widening hallways and doors and more.
