This 3,583-sf, 3BR, 4BA house was designed to complement the existing neighborhood’s post-war homes, while bringing a contemporary and refreshed schematic concept to this beautiful Park Hill community. The design team was challenged with reusing mixed materials for a net zero design, including energy-efficient construction, heat pumps, and a ducted mini-split system.
The design intent focused on blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor Colorado living. To achieve this, the designer included a third-floor flex space and wraparound deck with 180-degree views, ample windows throughout the main floor, and a large living room glass slider opening onto the backyard.
The large corner lot presented both a challenge and an opportunity. The design included a wrap-around porch, which provides views of and access to both streets encompassing the property.
