Design Statement | These residences offer a distinct architectural style, stacked single-story flats served by semi-private elevators. The Spanish Romantic style for this project is fairly eclectic and playful. The exteriors are simple strong forms separated by wide wooden decks. Large arched openings and storefront glass soften the ground level elevation since it is primarily garages. All five buildings have a common architectural style with variations in forms, colors and details. Units are 1,389 to 1,726 sf, with two-three bedrooms, plus den.
Judges’ Comments | Judges noted that the very interesting exterior architecture is engaging. The units are well thought out, spacious, and open.

Design Statement | Revel Spokane is a refined independent living community. Set alongside the Spokane River and adjacent to a market-rate multifamily community, the project provides direct access to a riverfront park and the Centennial Trail in a multigenerational setting.
Two four-story buildings are connected by a central, two-story commons. A welcoming entry lounge provides access to the clubhouse amenities, leasing offices, and outdoor patio and gardens. The architectural style is Northwestern lodge, with stone and heavy timber elements, roof overhangs and balconies, shingle- and lap siding, and warm colors, complemented by strong landscape design. Residents have access to best-in-class wellness services and amenities, including a spa and salon, fitness studio, theater, business center, art studio, and a full-service restaurant and pub.
Judges’ Comments | Judges praised the spectacular amenities, the exterior architecture, and the palette used. They noted the outdoor fire pit and said the units are warm and welcoming.
