Located in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Riverworks is a contemporary lifestyle community comprising 349 upscale apartments. Situated along two picturesque waterways — French Creek and the Schuylkill River — it occupies the former site of the Phoenix Iron Company, once an economic engine of the town that bears its name. Strategically positioned to offer immediate access to downtown Phoenixville’s restaurants, boutiques, and microbreweries and designed with an acute awareness of the markers that define contemporary living, Riverworks sets a new standard for residential properties in this region, meeting the needs of young professionals, empty nesters, and locals alike.

Central to the project’s sense of community is the clubhouse, which pays tribute to the old steel mill by utilizing brick and stone masonry, an exposed steel framework, clerestory windows, and wood plank details. While the residential components of the project share an industrial-inspired profile on their exteriors, apartment interiors have been crafted to be comfortable, functional, and stylish. Handsome wood, high-end tile, stainless steel, and natural stone are key elements in a roster of finishes that convey a sense of luxury.

Between generous green space and a waterfront setting, Riverworks makes the outdoors a key amenity. In addition, the project included the restoration of a bridge once traversed by factory employees as they headed to and from the ironworks. Abandoned for two decades and overwhelmed with vegetation, the bridge has been dramatically restored and enhanced to become a welcoming gateway to Phoenixville’s main street. The bridge links directly to the acclaimed Schuylkill River Trail, enjoyed by thousands of hikers, bicyclists, and joggers each year. The 26.5 mile path follows the Schuylkill from Phoenixville through Valley Forge National Historic Park to Center City Philadelphia. At Riverworks, the spaces and location give magnetic and meaningful experiences that allow residents to live closer to life.
