As designs were being finalized, the modest project budget doubled when the owners’ parents became involved. Nearly every selection was revisited and the scope continuously expanded throughout construction. This required detailed and effective communication and documentation to keep everyone aligned with the ongoing change in scope. Deluxe features include a renovated kitchen, new standing-seam metal roof, a panoramic door off the master bedroom, a stunning new spa retreat, and a large artist’s studio, complete with a hidden bookcase door.

The rift sawn white oak cabinetry and engineered wood floors throughout the home offered continuity that linked the addition to the existing home flawlessly. The sleek updated fixtures and the graduated-size cabinet pull application lend a unique and modern touch. Full-home automation, complete with smart phone connections, were added to control lighting, temperature, blinds and more. Large decks and patios were added to maximize use of the yard. Even the family dogs were considered through built-in dog bed nooks and a doggie door.
