Remodel of the Week: Ravenswood Renovation

This home underwent a rejuvenation that resulted in significant changes to both the exterior and interior.

The existing ’80s design was swapped for a clean contemporary and sleek aesthetic, and was re-imagined with fresh materials and new windows throughout. Oversized, black windows bring a bold element to the home and break up the once flat-box design of the house. The previous dull beige tone was replaced with bright, crisp white siding paired with light wood accents.

Inside, natural daylight floods the entire interior. A neutral color palette along with sleek furnishings further accentuate the home’s new-found modern persona. From the kitchen to the owners’ suite, every room in this home was flipped on its head and transformed into a more functional and fashionable space.

The enlarged walkout patio overlooking the water’s edge is a must-have for taking full advantage of lakefront living with plenty of room for friends and family. Plush, oversized furniture accompanied by a custom fire feature ensures the party can continue late into the summer evenings.

Judges’ Comments | This renovation is a nice transformation that opened up the home. For example, removal of the family room fireplace provided a spectacular view, and the owners’ bedroom became airier.
