The intention of this design was to bring a piece of Chicago to Urbana, Illinois to meet the goal of attracting international buyers. The decor and concept emulate the night-scene in Chicago mixed with a post-industrial feel. The detailed bar, saloon, and amenity space with games – overlooking the club room – is made to feel like a refurbished industrial space, through the incorporation of materials like brick and steel, paired with the benefits of new construction. The lobby highlights restored industrial lines and over-sized art finishes the space. The space also includes a state-of-the-art fitness center. Proximity to the engineering school offers residents an opportunity to express thought, expression, mind-provoking ideas where students are inspired to build and create.
