Bonus Home of the Week: Evergreen Hill

This three-generational historic site could be mistaken for one of Lake Minnetonka’s historic estates, true to the area’s history but modern in amenities.

This home is designed for lake living and entertaining. A quarter-mile long driveway winds to the paver courtyard. The cedar shingle exterior and roof feature traditional millwork detail and a tasteful mix of natural materials.

The main floor is clad in alternating widths of shiplap, coffers, and crown trim. An oval-shaped booth allows for everyday dining in the kitchen, adjacent to the two work islands. The porch with bar flows out to terraced pool stone patios.

A craft room accommodates her sewing, embroidery, and other crafts. His office is dressed in black walnut. The lower level provides additional spaces for the owners’ passions. Curved glass encases a sprawling wine collection. The walnut pub, a reflection of English heritage, is fed craft beer from the adjacent home brewery with a walk-in commercial cooler.
