Design Statement | Although this home was designed as a primary residence, the overall look needed to fit with the character of the growing resort town of Revelstoke. Timber framing was an ideal choice for adding a rustic feel to the home, but the owners were still able to create an interior space that felt contemporary for their young family.
The interior is bright and open, with a direct connection to nature via the warm timbers, and the exterior features timber trusses, stone, and shake. The peaks of the roofline match the shape of the Selkirk Mountains.
