Design Statement | The client decided to redesign the bathrooms after the rest of the home was renovated; this came with a quicker turnaround time and a lower budget. To accommodate these needs, the designer kept the original layout and gutted the space. Features include a bright, neutral pallet of marble-look porcelain slabs, gray textural stone, and a sleek custom-designed vanity. Custom LED mirrors flanked by statement scones provide spa-like lighting in the space.
In the fully enclosed shower, the walls were clad in porcelain marble-look slabs. A clerestory window was added to draw in light from the window in the water closet. An artistic freestanding tub was placed to take in views of the ski slopes.
Judges’ Comments | The design creates a destination with the bathtub. The judges praised the nice use of mixed metals and the mirrors.
