Home of the Week: Townsend

Westharbor Homes partnered with Union Studio Architecture and Design to produce a beautiful new, socially-designed neighborhood of 42 cottage-style homes. Each home, like our Port Ludlow, Wash., Home of the Week, Townsend, is designed utilizing 360-degree architecture and is thoughtfully placed on a woodland, waterfront or park-front site to offer the best possible views and vistas.

Balancing the desire for walkable streets with great water views, the homes present their best frontage facing the street, while the main living space is oriented toward the water.

The interior offers a mix of high-quality finishes, modern fixtures and thoughtful design to transform small areas into practical living spaces. Open-concept floor plans and master suites on the main level incorporate universal design to accommodate aging in place.

Judges’ Comments | “Fantastic use of space, like the little nooks and crannies, like the reading nook. Was just so incredible, people love that, especially in a small house. Liked the composition and massing too, quite clever.”
